“Who Listens to Jesus?”
… Who listens to Jesus? I hope we are listening to Jesus. I hope I am listening to Jesus. For when we listen to Jesus, we are going to hear about the kingdom of God, how to follow Jesus, and about the glory of God. It is when we listen to Jesus that we hear the good that God has for us.
It is a wonder that the voice from cloud told Peter: “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!”
As we catch Jesus’ meeting with Moses and Elijah on the mountain when Jesus went to pray, we find Peter not knowing what to say. God the Father knows what to say! Since we know the gospels were written so we may trust in Jesus, we realize the voice from the cloud is speaking to us. We get to listen to God’s Son. We get to listen to God’s Chosen.
